Company History

Garrett Motion is a global manufacturer of turbochargers and propulsion technologies with a history dating back more than 60 years. The company was founded in 1936 by the American engineer Clifford Garrett.
Turbochargers became more widespread worldwide in the 1990s, especially Garrett’s new rotary vane turbocharger (VNT) technology.

About the Company

Garrett’s technologies and innovations are used by nearly all major automotive manufacturers worldwide, resulting in more than 130 million vehicles with Garrett products worldwide. Garrett Motion has offices and manufacturing facilities in several locations around the world, including Brazil, Mexico, Slovakia and India. It has 5 research centres and employs more than 9,000 people. It employs more than 500 people in the Czech Republic, operating
in Brno and Prague. In addition to cars and trucks, Garrett turbochargers are used in industrial applications such as generators, compressors and industrial engines. Garrett also manufactures turbochargers for aircraft engines.

Garrett turbochargers are also available for the aftermarket. We have been bringing Garrett products to you since 1995, when we became an authorised distributor and service centre. There is a wide selection of turbocharger types available for the aftermarket for a variety of applications, such as Garrett Original Equipment, which is the same as that used on vehicle manufacturers’ production lines, and Garrett Original Reman, which is a factory-rebuilt turbocharger with a full OE quality warranty and guarantee. In addition, Garrett Performance turbochargers are used to modify and increase performance. Garrett also makes turbochargers in the Classic series, for classic vintage cars.

Garrett has been involved in motorsport at some of the most famous racing circuits around the world, including Formula 1 with the Scuderia Ferrari team and Formula 2, the FIA World Rally Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
